FIREFIGHTERS were sent to Sunspot Amusements on Burnham Esplanade this evening, after reports of smoke issuing from the building.

Two crews were dispatched at around 5.45pm.

A fire service spokesman said: “Crews used a positive pressure ventilator to clear the building of the smoke as the manager had already extinguished the fire prior to fire service arrival.

“The cause of the fire was accidental, suitable advice was given and duty of care was left with the manager.”
