WIRELESS internet is available in almost 100,000 public places in Somerset, new figures revealed this week.

BT has published the stats to mark the number of Wi-Fi hotspots in the South-West region passing 500,000.

Jon Reynolds, of BT in the South-West, said: “We are seeing growing use of our network as Wi-Fi users spend more time online and use more data.”
