Somerset newsagent raises £1.7million for National Lottery good causes
A SOMERSET newsagent has raised an incredible £1.7million for National Lottery Good Causes.
E J Teare, in South Street, Wellington, has raised the amount through sales of Lottery tickets to players since its launch in 1994.
A poster will be on display in the store to highlight the achievement and to remind National Lottery players of their ongoing contribution to life-changing Good Causes across the UK.
Trish and Lorraine Lettley, co-owners of E J Teare, said: “We’re so proud our customers have helped to raise so much money for National Lottery Good Causes.
“We couldn’t believe the figure when our Camelot representative told us. It’s great news for our local area, as well as for communities across the UK – and we’ll definitely be talking to all of our customers about it.”
