MEDIA reports from Spain say an autopsy over the weekend revealed that Douglas Bennett died from a brain injury caused by hitting his head on the ground or against something hard – and not from a blow.
Builder Douglas, 69, had been on holiday with his wife Gloria, Ian Bennett and Ian’s wife Louisa.
Ian was freed on bail yesterday (September 1) after appearing in court before a judge.
He has not been charged with the crime but it is believed he is still being investigation on suspicion of manslaughter.
It is not known if he will be allowed to leave Spain while police carry out their investigations.
The family were on holiday in the Castell Montgri campsite in Estartit near Barcelona.
