SEDGEMOOR District Council is re-running a programme to help job hunters improve their chances of finding work.
You’re H.I.R.E.D! (Helping Individuals Reach Employment Destinations) is a series of eight workshops at Bridgwater Library that prepares candidates by giving advice, help with applications and experience of working together on a real task as well as mock interviews with real employers.
The programme, which receives funding from EDF Energy, starts on September 19, with sessions every Thursday from 10am-2pm.
Laura Fowler, community outreach worker at Sedgemoor District Council, said: “Building on our success from last time we are hoping to set another group of job-hunters on the road to employment.
“We are grateful for the funding from EDF Energy, and the practical help from local firms, this support means we can all work together to improve the job chances of local people.”
