Sgt Mark Whitfield, from Avon and Somerset Police's road policing unit, said the motorbike, which was heading towards Curry Rivel, clipped the back of a trailer being towed across the crossroads by a Range Rover.
The motorcyclist has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, but his injuries are "not life-changing and not life-threatening".
