MP Tessa Munt praises Lympsham First School
8:00pm Saturday 7th December 2013 in News
CHILDREN from Lympsham First School received a visit from Burnham MP Tessa Munt.
Ms Munt spent an afternoon at the school and opened the new ‘Special Needs Intervention Room’.
She said: “It’s great to see Lympsham First School is using every opportunity to ensure that children have the best possible environment in which to learn.
“I understand from Fiona Robertson, the head teacher, that the room was an unused outbuilding, but now it is a friendly and useful addition to the teaching spaces in the school.”
Ms Munt also met children from Years 2, 3 and 4, gave the pupils who recently visited Parliament their certificates and popped into the school’s Christmas fair to buy some gifts.
She added: “It was also lovely to see the Year 4 students again, watch their presentation and award them their certificates.
“Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a certificate for the school mascot, Buster the Guinea Pig, who came to London too.
“I will be sure to get his certificate in the post as soon as possible!”
