A CARNIVAL cart built by veterans from Afghanistan and Falklands' wars won an award for one of the best carts at the Carnival.
The Unicorn Carnival Club won the HMS Burnham Cup for their cart in the 'Anything Goes' category.
Guy Ford, Chairman of the Unicorn Carnival Club, said: “The cart was built by veterans who had PTSD. It clearly worked because they are all coming back to help this year.”
Falklands Royal Navy veteran Martin Heale was presented with the prestigious trophy by Pageant Carnival Queen Emma Nicholson.
Unicorn Carnival Club was formed in 2013 to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Guy said: “We have drawn out the plans for this year's cart and we're going to start building it in March or April.”
