PROM dresses are being sought by a school in Highbridge.

The King Alfred School keeps a small collection of dresses for students that are struggling to afford to buy their own – but the collection needs updating.

Head teacher, Andrew Owen, said: “I’m sure there must be some lovely prom dresses sitting in wardrobes going unused and it would be much appreciated if any of them could be donated to the school.

“If there are any young men with spare suits they don’t use anymore then that would be a great help too.

“For every prom dress we receive, we will also make a donation to the Year Eleven’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.”

Prom dresses or suits of any size can be dropped off at the school or the school can arrange for collection.
