THE RNLI in Burnham is seeking a replacement lifeboats visits officer.

They will help save lives at sea by promoting the work of the RNLI in the local community and with tourists to raise awareness and generate funds.

They will be responsible for organising visits to the lifeboat station, going into schools and community groups to talk about the RNLI, and organising educational events.

The commitment will be between two and ten hours a week, depending on the time of year.

Mike Lang, lifeboats press officer, said: “Our present visits officer has reluctantly stepped down after a positive contribution over a number of years and will be sadly missed, and this is an exciting role to take up.”
