If the Goverment stopped giving money/Aid just for one week of the year to other Countries , Somerset County Council could be asking for up tp twenty times the amount for the flood defences.
We should'nt be asking we should be getting.
Are these mini letters being seen by the right people as this is the third time I have entered this.

Could TDBC please tell how much the flooding has cost them as this is the excuse they have used for the increase in council tax this year.

£2 million should be no problem for a government that has just handed out £2.5 MILLION to Mulberry, a company that makes leather goods and handbags that take up to a mere 5 hours to make and retail at the eye watering price tag of £5,000 - YES -that's correct - FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS!
We're all in together - remember!

See earlier Gazette article fro details.

The handbags are made by apprentices.

An apprentice's 'wage' starts at £2.68 per hour!

The Gazette article states that it takes "between three to five hours" to make one single solitary handbag.

A mulberry apprentice on £2.68 would have to work 1,865 hours in order to be able to buy back a handbag costing £5,000 that took 5 hours to make!

Presented another way: the same worker on the same level of apprenticeship ‘wage’ would have to work more than 46 weeks before earning enough to buy one £5,000 handbag that takes 5 hours to make!

Yep, we’re all in it together!

Thank you FreeSpeech.

The Socialist Party regard any such comment coming from you, as a most positive endorsement!

We would be perplexed to say the least, if you contributed anything other than your usual vacuous derogatory, gems of 'political wisdom' aimed in our specific direction!

PS: We also note however, that on this occasion, far from even attempting to rebut or deny our statements of fact; you appeared to actually completely agree with their factual accuracy!

If factual accuracy represents 'commie clap trap' in your mind FreeSpeech... then you can certainly expect a lot more from where that came from!
