MEMBERS of Highbridge Youth Club have presented £200 to a charity which is aiming to set up a holiday park for terminally ill children.
The Gypsy and Purple Foundation has been established to help children with life-threatening illnesses, both in the UK and around the world.
Founder Purple Watkins said: “We would like to establish the first caravan holiday village in the UK dedicated to children with terminal illnesses.”
The youth club held cake sales, collected cans and did other activities to raise the cash.
Mr Watkins added: “We are also holding a concert at The Princess Theatre on May 3, where Gypsy will sing a variety of popular music to raise money for the foundation.”
Tickets can be purchased from the box office on 01278- 784464.
