CHILDREN from Churchfield School in Highbridge put on their wellies and got out into Apex Park to do some real gardening.
As part of their Forest School session, the children were invited by Pete Grainger, ecologist for Sedgemoor District Council, to plant some trees.
The children from Poplar Class were shown how to dig and plant trees correctly, facing the muddy conditions to plant 50 different trees.
They even found time to do some bird watching and enjoy a biscuit and a drink of hot chocolate before the end of the day.
