THE BBC filmed on Burnham Beach as part of a number of four minute slots to be broadcast on June 6 as part of the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings.

Remnants of the Mulberry Harbour were deposited on the beach near the Lower lighthouse at the end of the war and the BBC used this location to interview a Normandy veteran from Cardiff about his memories.
