WORKSHOPS on how to research the First World War are being launched by the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton.
Led by archivist Liz Grant, the workshop will show you how to use sources such as Somerset newspapers, school records, online resources and information from national institutions to research topics such as First World War personnel, a Somerset community or the County Regiment.
The workshop will guide you through the sources available, teach you how to interpret the information and show you how to share your research with others.
They take place on May 7 at 2.30pm and May 13 at 7pm. Each workshop lasts an hour and a half and costs £5 per person, payable in advance.
To book a place call 01823-278805 or visit the Somerset Heritage Centre on Brunel Way, Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton.
