CAKES and goodies were shared as Fibromyalgia Somerset’s members celebrated the club’s second birthday.
The party, held at the Somerset Skills and Learning centre in Princess Street in Burnham, was held for International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
Sam Everiss, a member of the group, said: “It was a huge success. We were supported by a number of local councillors, the chairman of Sedgemoor District Council and Highbridge Medical Centre. We would like to say a huge thank you for all who attended and give thanks that we were able to spread the word about Fibromyalgia and ME.
“Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition and the main symptoms are widespread pain and profound fatigue. It is a misunderstood condition that affects every aspect of daily life.”
