PRIZES were doled out for the most talented youngsters in Wedmore who impressed the judges with the farming talents.
It was the 80th anniversary of the Wedmore Young Farmers Livestock Show and Sale, which was held at a packed George Hotel in Wedmore.
James Hole stole the show at what was his last event as a Young Farmer.
He scooped multiple awards including Champion Dairy Heifer, Dairy Heifer Leading and Grooming, Best Sports Day Personality, and the Best All Round Member prize.
Louise Seymour, Wedmore YFC advisory chairman, said: “Wedmore Young Farmers and all the associate helpers should be extremely proud of what they achieved on Saturday. It was a brilliant day with as big a crowd as I have ever seen at the show before.”
MP Tessa Munt presented the awards. She said: “I rarely miss this fantastic annual event and I was honoured to be invited to present the show’s prizes in this special year for the Young Farmers.”
