A WOMAN had to be given oxygen therapy for smoke inhalation following a fire in West Huntspill.
Three fire teams from Burnham and Bridgwater were called out to a semi-detached home in Church Road at around 11am on Saturday, May 24.
The fire had occurred in a utility room and the ambulance was called to treat a woman who was suffering from smoke inhalation.
A fire service spokesman said: “The utility room was 5% fire damaged and 70% smoke damaged with around 5% smoke damage to the remainder of the property.
“One woman was given oxygen therapy by fire service crews and left in the hands of ambulance personnel.”
The fire was extinguished using one dry powder extinguisher, positive pressure ventilation and natural ventilation.
