Survey finds 66% associate engineers with men more than women
A SURVEY has found 66% of the public associate engineers more with men than women.
The survey by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers found the majority of the public still consider engineering as a ‘male’ profession.
According to the poll, 40% think the current image of engineering is deterring women from the profession.
