DRIVERS have reported having to swerve round a bike that has fallen off the roof of a car on the northbound carriageway of the M5 in Somerset this evening.

A motorist said the bike was causing a hazard near juntion 22 for Burnham.

Interesting as had to swerve to avoid a large panel section from what appeared to be a pick-up earlier, that was in the centre lane n/bound between J25 & 24

Interesting that people don't seem to be able to spot something as large as a bike in the road until the last moment, so they have to "swerve" out of the way!

If there's a lot of traffic in all 3 lanes, you may not be able to see something in the road till the last moment.

On an empty road in daylight, easy to see it.
