STUDENTS at Hugh Sexey Middle School enjoyed a French week out as they travelled to Normandy.
Two coachloads of Year 7 pupils set off for the coast near Mont. St Michel.
During their stay they visited the D-Day museum at Arromanches and the Bayeux Tapestry as well as a market (where the students are pictured right) at which they were required to purchase their own food for their lunch using their French language skills.
Their packed schedule also included activities such as bread making, archery and a treasure hunt.
The highlight of the week was the long barefoot guided walk across the bay to visit the Mont St Michel.
