SEDGEMOOR District Council has removed two flower beds on the South Esplanade at Burnham. Officials say the beds were infested with Oxalis, an invasive weed that is very difficult to permanently get rid of.
The area of the old beds has been turfed over. A new bed will be created in the area between the original beds to compensate for their loss.
