SEDGEMOOR District Council is encouraging people in Burnham and Highbridge to help improve the towns.
The council is looking for people to join one of the resident-led ‘Friends of’ groups for either Burnham’s Marine Cove Gardens or Highbridge’s Apex Park.
Friends work closely with Sedgemoor staff to plan events, ensure community views are heard and promote use of the parks.
Potential volunteers interested in a more hands-on opportunity can also help maintain and fundraise for Marine Cove Gardens.
Community gardener Jacqui Strong and some of the volunteers are in the garden from 10am to 2pm on Saturday (June 7) to clean up and people interested in helping are encouraged to come and find out more about volunteering at Marine Cove.
