A 47-year-old man was punched in the face during an ‘altercation’ on the A38 at Brent Knoll.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened northbound on the A38, near the roundabout with the A370, at just before 6pm on Tuesday, June 3.
Investigating officer PC Phill Perkins said: “The victim was driving northbound on the A38 when a Peugeot van stopped in front of him.
“The driver of the van approached his car and following a brief altercation the victim was punched in the face.
“Traffic was brought to a standstill while this was going on so there will be people who saw what happened. I would urge anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible.”
If you can help, please call PC Phill Perkins via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101
