AN affordable housing development in Highbridge has been shortlisted for a prestigious building award.
The117-home Raglan Housing development of affordable rental and shared ownership homes in Springfield Road was shortlisted for this year’s South West Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards on June 13.
The development was shortlisted alongside two other Raglan Housing projects in Meare and Barton St David.
The awards recognise quality of housing design, construction and craftsmanship as well as compliance with relevant legislation, and customer satisfaction.
The Highbridge scheme is a finalist for two Building Excellence awards: Best High Volume New Housing Development and Best Affordable New Housing Development.
Raglan worked closely with Sedgemoor District Council, Highbridge Town Council and Mansell Partnership Housing to deliver the project.
