A WILDLIFE charity from East Huntspill is sending out a huge thank you to all the volunteers who have helped the charity over the year.
As part of National Volunteers Week, Secret World expressed its gratitude to its army of helpers particularly those who pitched during April when the centre took in more than 350 animals, many of them babies.
Charity founder Pauline Kidner (above), said: “Some of our volunteers have been with us since the beginning of the charity and have played a vital role in ensuring its continued success.”
Helen Ditchfield, who has been a volunteer with Secret World for 17 years, said: “I enjoy not just helping the animals but it’s a part of my social life which I find rewarding and important to me.”
Duncan Cousens, volunteer co-ordinator at Secret World, said: “We are so very fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers and at this busy time of year we still need help with evening shifts and receptionists and hope anyone who can spare some time will please get in touch.”
