WESTON College is set to double in size as it becomes a Further and Higher Education establishment.
Last year, 800 students gained degrees at the college, and that number is set to increase by 100%.
The new status for the college will mean it will be able to offer more degrees with a wider variety.
The eventual aim is to regenerate the town with a university centre bringing many new jobs to the area.
