A BURNHAM man who saw an adult education service he launched 20 years ago swell to 600 members, said his British Empire Medal proves “you are never too old to learn”.
Ken Hindle, president of the Burnham University of the Third Age, or U3A, was honoured in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to adult education.

The project saw two paddocks of solar panels, totalling around six acres, on land off Quab Lane to the north-west of the village and are ran by a community-owned solar energy business.
