The fete on featured the extra attraction of ‘Para-Teddies’, where children brought along their teddies to see them float down from the church tower - with a parachute of course.

Other popular events included Splat the Rat, skittles, chocolate tombola, wellie wanging, the loo game, hamper scrabbling, face painting, bottle tombola, crafts, cakes , hot food and a Grand Raffle.

Children from East Brent First School also entertained the crowds with maypole dances.

There was also be a Baking Competition and categories included making a gingerbread man and a traditional Victoria sponge.

All proceeds went to St Mary’s Church.
