VISITORS and residents can discover Burnham’s rich history through a series of free guided walks.
Burnham Town Team has received a grant of £560 from Sedgemoor District Council's Community Health Fund to launch leaflets detailing the themed walks.
The Town Team’s Sarah Milner-Simonds said: “We have created five different walking guides revealing Burnham’s Maritime, Victorian, Wartime, Railway and Religious history.
“We hope residents and visitors can learn something new and interesting about the town by taking a walk at their own pace. But to launch the leaflets we have organised a series of guided walks.”
The walks, led by Burnham’s Town Crier, will take place on the next four Wednesdays at 2.30pm, starting at Burnham Information and Rescue Support (BIARS).
The guides can be collected from BIARS and dogs are welcome.
