A KEEN cycling couple have taken part in a fundraising ride for a charity which helped their son.
Aaron and Sandra Smithers met over 70 other cyclists at Charlton Farm for the Ride for Precious Lives, a 200-mile ride over three days to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South-West.
Their son, Lewis, 14, has special needs and has used Charlton Farm for the past three years.
The cyclists left Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell, arriving in Barnstaple at CHSW’s Little Bridge House.
The final leg of the journey saw them visit Charlton Farm and cross Bristol’s iconic suspension bridge to head for the Bristol Downs for an emotional reunion with family and friends.
