A MAGNIFICENTLY macabre Broadway hit is getting its UK premier at none other than Weston’s Playhouse Theatre this July.
And it’s the Somerset-based Sunshine Productions theatre company who are giving The Addams Family Musical its first airing, in an exciting coup.
The US show was created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, among a raft of top talent.
This original plot is hinged on every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart and, worst of all, respectable, young man.
Begging her father, Gomez, not to breathe word to her mother, Morticia, he is forced into a corner, having sworn to keep the big secret from his beloved wife.
But all that could change when Wednesday brings her beau back to meet the family...
The Addams Family Musical runs at Weston’s Playhouse Theatre from Wednesday, July 30 until Saturday, August 2. Tickets range from £11 to £14.50 in price. To book, call the box office on 01934-645544 or visit www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk
