THREE play areas and a skate park are set to re-open this week when major upgrades are completed.
Sedgemoor District Council is reopening play areas in Coleridge Gardens, Burnham, and Stiling Close, Highbridge, today (Thursday).
Crosses Penn play area, near Manor Gardens, has remained open, but its new multi-play unit will also open today.
A total of £45,000 has been spent upgrading equipment across the three play areas. The upgrades have been completed in less than one month.
The revamped £72,994 Apex Skate Park will also informally open to the public on August 1, with a formal opening taking place at the annual Apex Playday on August 6.
Talbot Close play area in Highbridge is open throughout the summer and is due for renovation in autumn.
