TWINS from Burnham have raised £2,000 towards cancer treatment after having their heads shaved.
Elaine Luscombe’s son Peter has been diagnosed with germ cell cancer and both her and twin Celia Martin launched the head shave campaign to raise vital cash for his care.
On Sunday, which was their joint 64th birthday, the two bravely faced the clippers at the Reed Arms, spurred on by their family and friends.
All the money raised is going to Hammersmith Hospital in London and the Valindre Hospital in Cardiff.
The twins’ next event is a coffee morning at Burnham’s community centre in Berrow Road on September 20 from 10am to 12pm.
