YOU could have years taken off your look thanks to a celebrity hairdresser who is visiting Somerset next month.

Andrew Barton, who made a name for himself on Channel 4 programme Ten Years Younger has won several awards for his work, as well holding the title of British Hairdresser of the Year.

On October 14, he will be visiting Combers to give three lucky people a hair transformation.

Simon Willets, director of Combers, is a friend of Andrew’s and explained who could benefit from the new look.

He said: “When a female client comes into the salon, we look at the whole of her, not just her hair and work out what will suit her best.

“Older women can sometimes get stuck in a hair rut.

“Many tend to use the same hairdressers they’ve had for years, and in many cases these will be a friend - and the friend just does what they always do.

“But that isn’t necessarily what is best for them.”

“Women entering the competition will need to be open minded and be willing to have Andrew work his magic on them.

“I think many women over the age of 40 feel a bit neglected by the media and clothes shops and don’t always want to experiment.

Andrew will also be spending the morning with the team at Combers teaching them some of his techniques.

You can read more from Simon in the September edition of our glossy magazine for Somerset, Society.

Details of the competition were first published in the magazine but a production error meant the closing date and terms and conditions were missed out - so we’re pleased to bring you them now and spell out how the competition will work.
