PARENTS in the South West are being encouraged to find out if their two-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare from this month, when the number of eligible children will double.
As of now, 40% of two-year-olds will be entitled to 15 free hours of free education per week - up from 20% last year.
Around 20,000 children in the South West will now be entitled to free childcare, but take-up has traditionally been low.
The new government campaign is being launched in the area to encourage parents to use their free 15 hours a week.
