RESIDENTS are being offered four new schemes to help them improve the energy efficiency of their homes this winter.
The improvements are offered by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and Sedgemoor District Council.
On one of the schemes homeowners are able to get contributions towards the cost of cavity wall insulation with the full service cost being funded for residents in certain areas.
Meanwhile all homeowners or privately renting tenants are able to get cashback on biomass boilers and solar panels among other energy-saving upgrades.
A district council spokesman said: “Wasting energy is wasting money.
“Local companies have done thermal surveys that show how much difference insulation and draught-proofing makes, comparing otherwise identical buildings and there is a huge difference in bills.”
