A SKITTLE match has been held to raise money for a charity set up in memory of a Burnham teenager who died earlier this month.
The Lighthouse Inn hosted the charity skittles match last Saturday as the landlord, Darren’s Hodge’s daughter, had been friends with tragic Charley Marks.
His family have now set up a charity in memory of the youngster and many of the pub regulars got together to form two teams The Posh End and the Rif Raff for a fun match, with the entry fees going to help the cause.
Bar manageress Many Pike said: “We had wanted to put on a charity event for a while and we thought this would be the right cause as the landlord’s daughter knew Charley. The event was a big hit with regulars and was a success, raising £108.”
The pub hopes to raise money for more good causes with future matches.
