LEARNERS at an art appreciation class in Burnham showed off the results of their first challenge of the course.
Each learner was given a piece of a picture and challenged to enlarge their part of the picture to scale so that each segment came together as a whole.
It was part of a Somerset Skills & Learning exercise in enlarging a drawing to scale which requires painstaking attention to detail.
Tutor Ade Bowen said: “I thought this would be a fun introduction to a group of return learners.
“This term I will be asking the group to really use their imagination, and this project gave them the opportunity to re-visit their drawing skills, but also allowed them to add their own interpretation and resourcefulness.”
Learner Barry Robertson said: “The scaling exercise encouraged me to look at the detail of my drawing in a way I wouldn’t have before because my section had to work in conjunction with everyone else’s picture.”
