POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses who may have seen an attempted incident of shoplifting at the town’s Lidl supermarket on Oxford Street at around 11.30 on Friday, November 7.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said a woman tried to steal a number of items from the supermarket and refused to stop for staff in the store.
One member of staff managed to claw back the stolen goods.
Police are continuing their enquiries and are asking for anyone who may have seen what happened to contact police on 101.
