RESIDENTS of Puriton gathered at the recently installed war memorial in the village to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.
Villagers, the local Guides and Brownies groups, the Memorial Committee and children from Puriton School laid wreaths at the base of the memorial that was unveiled in August.
A short church service was held before the congregation made their way to the village green.
