Age UK warns elderly home owners on insurance
ELDERLY residents should check the details of their home insurance policy in the run-up to Christmas, according to a national charity.
Age UK is urging people to make sure they are fully covered by their policy at a time of year when homes can be full of gifts, decorations and holiday supplies.
The charity also encourages people to keep Christmas gifts out of sight when leaving the house and if travelling away from home inform a trusted neighbour or family member and provide them with a contact telephone number.
