A PAMPER evening at the Oak Tree Arena provided an opportunity for visitors to indulge in some relaxation and beauty treats while raising money for a good cause.

The event was organised in memory of Burnham man Charley Marks who died earlier this year aged just 18.

Charley's mum told the Weekly News: "The Pamper evening went amazingly well with over 20 stalls of different varieties.

It was very well attended and we raised nearly £800.

The stalls offered massages and beauty treatments and there were also cake and gift stalls offering an array of treats.

Proceeds will go to the charity In Charley’s Memory, set up by Charley’s family to offer support to young people with mental health issues.

Charley's mum continued: "We'll be holding a spiritual evening in February, a race night and a ball near to Charley's birthday in April and we're still looking for people to help out with the charity in a number of different ways or to help us raise money so we can meet the aims of our charity."
