JOURNALIST, author and political commentator Andrew Marr is supporting a nationwide search for stroke survivors to enter the Life After Stroke Awards 2015.
The awards, hosted by the Stroke Association, recognise the achievements of everyone affected by stroke, from survivors to carers, volunteers and health professionals.
Andrew, who had a stroke himself in 2013, said: “These awards pay tribute to the character, guts and determination of extraordinary people who have come through the devastating consequences of a stroke.”
Award winners will be invited to the awards ceremony on June 25, 2015, at the Rosewood Hotel in London. Nominations for the awards are open until January 30, 2015.
