BURNHAM saw one of its highest tides in two decades at the weekend, says the Environment Agency.
A ‘supertide’ which reached a depth of 12.2 metres battered the seafront on Saturday (February 21) morning from around 8.30am.
The EA issued a flood warning in areas around the Bristol Channel in preparation for the spring tides. Walkers were urged not to risk their lives by getting too close to the giant waves.
