British Transport Police (BTP) officers have released an image of a man they want to trace in relation to an indecent act on a train travelling between Bristol Temple Mead and Bridgwater.

The incident happened on Friday, February 20, on board the 1pm Cardiff Central to Exeter St Davids service.

PC Christian Rooke said: “After boarding at Bristol Temple Mead, a man took a seat next to a 19-year-old woman on the train.

“While in the seat, he committed an indecent act. The woman moved away from him, and the man left the train at Bridgwater.”

As part of their investigation into the incident, officers have reviewed CCTV from the train.

Officers believe the man in the image has vital information about what took place.

PC Rooke said: “All passengers have a right to feel safe on the rail network.

“While incidents of unwanted sexual behaviour are rare, BTP is determined to deal with any incidents which are reported to us.

“I believe the man in the image can help with our enquiries into this incident.

“Who is he?”
