IT’s dark, it’s daft, it’s Dracula. Just when you thought it was safe to put your fangs back in their glass, think again.

Stage 2 drama have taken the classic Transylvanian take about the cloaked one with a penchant for biting necks – and turned it into a classic spoof.

Called, The Case of the Count Formerly Known as Dracula – A Justin Thyme Mystery, this hilarious comedy mystery one act play features the hardboiled detective Justin Thyme, who takes on the toughest, dirtiest cases in English literature.

Dracula is having a terrible time finding virgins. What can he do? He decides to try online dating to increase his chances but finds the forms impossible even with his Mother helping.

What follows is a slap-stick goldmine, a gallon of giggles a minute, as Thyme travels to Transylvania to find out why the country has experienced a sudden shortage of virgins and meets the delicious Molly.

Will Thyme defeat the immortal vampire?

Will he rescue Molly?

And will our intrepid gumshoe escape a fate worse than death when Molly proposes they marry and move to the suburbs?

The production runs from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16 at Berrow Village Hall, Parsonage Road, Berrow.
