FIRE crews had to search for a motorcyclist in Burnham this evening (April 30) after they fled the Esplanade after crashing into a van.
A fire engine was sent to the Esplanade just after 8pm to a report of a road traffic collision.
Upon arrival crews confirmed that the motorcycle had left the highway and hit a stationary van.
The rider fled the scene so crews set about a local search and the casualty was found at Burnham swimming pool with facial injuries.
Crews made the vehicle safe while ambulance crews dealt with the casualty.
