DOZENS of people turned out to enjoy the fine weather and activities at the Mad Hatter Tea Party in Brent Knoll on Saturday.
BBC Somerset breakfast radio presenter Emma Britton came along to open the event from 2pm to 5pm at St Michael’s Church.
The event saw visitors taking part in games, family competitions and a bake off contest.
The Parish of Three Saints Bake-Off saw bakers create classics such as jam tarts, cup cakes and sponge cakes, all with a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party theme.
With the event blessed by wonderful sunshine, guests also had a chance to enjoy a range of stalls selling cream teas, books, and games.
There was also a mad hat competition which saw great prizes awarded for the most extravagant headwear, not to mention a contest for the best flower decorations in a tea pot or a tea cup.
The mad-hatter themed antics raised £600 for churches across the Brent Knoll area.
