Burnham hosts tennis Aegon County Cup
BURNHAM-ON-SEA was chosen for the second year running to host the tennis Aegon County Cup.
The Avenue Tennis Club was selected by the Lawn Tennis Association to hold the boys Group E of the qualifying event this weekend.
Teams of four players, representing six counties– Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire – competed in both single and double matches over two days.
The team from Whiltshire took home first place in an 11-9 shoot out win, Avon taking second place and Devon in third.
Refreshments were provided by members of the Avenue Tennis Club.
